Seriously, AP1 S2000 folks want that tire, too.

The set I got back in January were dated 2004. I think I'll be switching to Hoosiers...

    Jerry,

The set I bought from Tirerack in June is dated 2907.

And the set I have on now has a 2004 and 2005 mix.   I can't tell any difference with 08's.  I wouldn't let the datecode be a mental block.  Kumho has had a very successful design for years and as long as the tire has been stored ok, they will be as good as one fresh off the boat.

    Re: KUMHO WHERE ARE YOU?!?!

Thanks for the datapoints.  I guess we'll keep dipping into the same Kumho pool until we use them up.  FWIW the 2006's worked well at the Packwood tour & pro, so maybe it's not that big of a deal.  I just have concerns on how they are being stored; and that could affect consistency.

    Re: KUMHO WHERE ARE YOU?!?!

i have some freshly ordered 215-50-13's with 5005 date codes that I could swear aren't any faster than the almost worn out 4205 date codes they replace.  the new tires are less prone to go greasy as expected, but don't seem to offer any more grip, which would make them less grippy when new than the old set was when new......
