    David Lehman:
BUZZ !  Wrong answer IMHO..................Prepared and Mod's can run A6's

They still have to drive the same tires as in competition though, right?  Might running A6s hurt their chances in class competition?

    Re: ST Super Challenge conspiracy?

The fastest tires are the fastest tires.

If they can win their class, they win their class.

BTW------for autox the A6 is right there for prepared and mods in a pro solo where the tires don't have a extended period of time to heat up-----

Also that's what a lot of track guys run-------.

    Drum roll.....................A6....

    PS---oh yeah---there are just so many P and M cars running pros......NOT

A lot of P and M cars run slicks, David.  Even in Pro Solo racing.

    Bzzzt...  Wrong answer again.

Ignorance is bliss.  Don't confuse Lehman with the facts.  David, A6's don't fit DP cars.  That applies to many EP cars as well.   Mod?  Ever see A6's on a Formual Ford?  A DSR?

Slicks have a very different temperature/grip curve than A6's.   Its easy to get the slicks up to temp in class competition where you get lots of back to back runs.  Sitting between challenge rounds cools the tires and slows the car.  And there is no chance to get them back up to temp.

This wasn't my original point.  Prepared and Mod cars are more difficult to be consistant with because of the higher performance envelope when compared to STS or most Stock classes.  That's added to the tire issue.

That you don't see many prepared and mod cars at Pros is evidence of the fact they are not well suited to the format.

Ok, I stand or rather sit corrected (on the toilet that is)

And as far as being "well suited"----I assume you have heard of "The Men's Warehouse"----now you don't have an excuse not to be "well suited"

    suit-ed [soo-tid]

    –adjective

    1. appropriate: She is suited to such a job.

    2. compatible or consistent with: a prose style suited to the subject.

As for men's wear, I prefer S&K Menswear and Jos. A. Bank.
