    2008 Audi A4 2.0t quattro which class

i recently bought the A4 for the family but would like to try autocross for the first time.

what stock class will this car run in?

Also any suggestion on a nice set of aftermarket rims and tires for using at solo and or track days. I am not looking for the lightest most expesive rim but something i can fit on the car and a nice tire to add to the enjoyment of solo and track days

    thanks

Its the wheel offset that kills the car for after market cheap wheels. If its like 07 VW GTI. How wide are stock wheels 7" or 8" and size 17,18?

I believe its 17x7.5 or 18x8 depending on the package. And the sports suspension...

Re: 2008 Audi A4 2.0t quattro which class

I'm new and was searching for fellow Audi drivers when I found this thread.

Obviously the car is GS, but as for wheels...  My stocks are 17x7.5", I don't recall the offset off the top of my head.

Two years ago I got some Kosei K1's from tirerack: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=Kosei&wheelModel=K1+TS&wheelFinish=Silver+Painted

I love them.  They were affordable and lightweight.  Unfortunately they aren't being made any more, but if you can find a used set, at 15.4 lbs 17x8" they are great wheels.

My dad road races (a bmw) with a set of these: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=Enkei+Racing&wheelModel=NT03-M&wheelFinish=Bright+Silver+Paint

and at $235 and 17.8 Lbs for the A4, they are a pretty good deal.

Those are the only wheels i've had expierence with.

How have you liked autoxing your A4?
