Some last minute problems delayed this announcement but I am happy to report they have been resolved and the Midwest Division RallyCross championship series is on! This would not have been possible without the sponsorship provided by the good folks at SPS. Details below.

2008 SPS MiDiv RallyCross Series Rules

1. One event will be held in each of the participating Midwest Division SCCA regions, Mid-South (9/6), St. Louis (9/21) and Nebraska (10/5).

2. Drivers must be members in good standing of a Midwest Division SCCA region and compete in at least two series events to be eligible for

year-end awards. All cars entered in an SPS MiDiv RallyCross Series event will be required to display two SPS stickers provided the stickers

are available at the event.

3. Five points will be awarded for a class win at an SPS MiDiv RallyCross Series event, 4 points for finishing second and so on down to 1

point for a fifth place finish in class. In addition, the driver will receive one point for each entrant he beats in his class up to an additional five

points. (For example: You finish second in a six car class. You would receive 4 points for being second and another 4 points for beating

four drivers in your class for a total of 8 points. If you were the only car in your class you would receive 5 points for being first but no

additional points.)

4. SPS MiDiv RallyCross Series trophies will be awarded to the points leader in each of the eight classes listed in the national SCCA

RallyCross Rules. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the finishing positions at events when the drivers were in direct

competition. If this does not resolve the situation, the tie will stand.

7:00AM - Gates open
7:00 - 9:00AM - Course and Equipment setup
*Course open for walking when approved and marked.

8:00 - 10:00AM - Technical Inspection
8:30 - 9:30AM Registration (Tech BEFORE registration)
10:00AM - Novice Walk Through
10:15AM - Drivers Meeting
First Car Start - Directly following the Drivers Meeting.

Cost:
$30.00 - SCCA Members
$45.00 - All others

Food:
$5 - Driver/Worker
$7 - Spectator

If you are under 18 years old and want to compete you MUST have a waiver signed by BOTH parents in the presence of rally chairperson or safety steward. No exceptions.
