14 Replies and 4232 Views INR Race in August  4232  14 Started by  maxiblu Things are lining up pretty well for our August race and we need to find out who's attending and when. The chief of timing and scoring recently went thru major surgery and we need to have a few people present on Friday evening about 700PM to help unload the equipment. This should take about 1/2 hour. Also someone will need to be available on Sunday after the race to help pac...

Well here she is. 2001 Chevy School Bus with 76,000 miles. It has a large AC unit in the back (and it works) and a large heater as well. It's a work in progress but here is what we have so far.The first thing we needed to do was get all the seats outMark Seaman came by and helpedThese things were heavy! We found 75 cents and a lot of food, hair, and a finger nail or two.Stu trying to hit me with his good arm.Sparks! My fancy fingerThis is what the bus will look like aside from a few small changes.

7 Replies and 3097 Views Busted Studs  3097  7 Started by  BlackCavalier52 For the past few auto-x seasons, I've been using a set of 'dedicated' wheels and tires for racing - primarily just so my DD tires won't get corded. Over the course of the last three events that I changed wheels, I've collectively broken 6 studs. Mind you only one was while tightening, the other 5 broke while trying to loosen them. I asked the fellow at the auto parts store what I'm doing wrong. He pointed to the fact that the car is now 11 years old. Every tire rotation of wheel swap stretched...

8 Replies and 2737 Views Coolers for the INR Race  2737  8 Started by  maxiblu We can use a few more coolers for the race to hold water and ice so if everyone planning to attend the race could bring a cooler (with their name on the cooler), it will be appreciated. I raced at Grattan last weekend and every driver was given a wet towel and bottle of water. It was very welcome after coming off the track. Thanks

15 Replies and 4120 Views INR 5  4120  15 Started by  ada///M With all due respect to the volunteers running the event today I honestly can't believe it was called off. It seems that when we delayed the start your minds were already made up, as the weather was definitely improving. After over an hour drive there and even longer getting back, I would have been happy to wait a little longer even if we would have had to sacrifice a few runs. Now I'm just mad at myself for not going to the SBR or even the tri-state event today instead. -adam
