0 Replies and 747 Views New Jersey ProSolo codriver anyone?  747  0 Started by  neilschelly I'm registered for the New Jersey ProSolo in my car, but I'm not averse to driving something else. Anyone looking for a co-driver I like just about anything fun. I'm competent, but unlikely to beat a car owner, and I'll gladly pay a fee for the privilege. -Neil

2 Replies and 916 Views Event Fees?  916  2 Started by  arnottstudios Hello. I'm very interested in joining the SCCA. I am ready to turn my 2002 BMW 540i into a track car. I am trying to figure out the budget right now but I cant seem to find how much the actual entry fee to races cost. I live in the St. Louis Region and I am planning on joining the club racing production class (feel free to criticize if you think that's off). If anyone can throw me some numbers on the event entry fees that would be awesome. Thanks!

8 Replies and 1304 Views What does the SCCA consider a solid axle?  1304  8 Started by  xnamerxx I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but I'm curious as to what is a 'solid axle' from a rules standpoint. Technically a torsion beam is a solid axle, so do the solid axle rules apply to torsion beams as well

2 Replies and 963 Views Racing school question  963  2 Started by  Generalbob1313 Hey all, i am pretty new to the SCCA scene and their website isn't very clear when it comes to schooling requirements. It appears as though you need two schools in order to get your permit and do your first club race. For my region (DC) there is only one school listed, which is the summit point school. There is no info about it as far as pricing etc. SCCA schools Link Do the schools they have listed count as both schooling requirements Because if not how would you meet the requirement without ...

0 Replies and 755 Views Car classification question  755  0 Started by  cujo627 Hello everyone, To get straight to the point, I'm lost. I am reading and re-reading the gcr. Reading information on nasa. And I think I am getting wires crossed, and before I go to far I could use a little insight. I have an 86 Celica Supra. Currently it is missing everything but the dash as far as interior. The engine is bone stock. The body, other than a few rusty panels, is bone stock. And of course my primary question is, what class would I be looking at I was interested in the production c...
