5 Replies and 781 Views My camcorder went kaput!  781  5 Started by  PowerAMP I was getting ready and packing all my stuff together for this weekend. I was checking my camcorder and I think it died on me. I checked everything, batteries, blank tapes, ect. To no avail, I got no camcorder for this weekend. I was going to have someone tape my runs for me. Also, I was use this as a recruitment video for my friends. So they could run at Atwater in May. It would be great if I can tell them ProSolo is the way to go! Well, my plans are down the drain, unless someone wants t...

3 Replies and 906 Views No Pets allowed at El Toro  906  3 Started by  Davard Talk about your paranoid property owners, but the person from Orange County was more concerned that a pet (dog) might get loose and do harm to one of the little wild animals that occupies the land around the site. So, they have told us that no animals will be allowed at the event site.Hopefully, this won't affect too many people. It's pretty silly, but we have to abide by the site rules if we want to use the site again. If you know anyone who is planning on attending El Toro with their pets, plea...

0 Replies and 612 Views Trailer for HIRE  612  0 Started by  autoxss Recently purchased a 18' tandem axle trailer that I would be willing to hire out for LA, TX, OK, NM events. I would help interested parties get their vehicles to and from events. Fees are very reasonable and I would do most if not all the driving. I provide tow vehicle and trailer. You provide maps and small fee.------------------Mike AllenTorch Red 96 6 Spd LT4 Vette(Stock)Aren't ALL Vettes Red1st things to Mod:ShocksWheels/TiresExhaust

0 Replies and 618 Views SEDIV solo I cancelled at Pensacola (?)  618  0 Started by  JHH Just got an E-mail this evening that the Gulf Coast Region event at Bronson was cancelled due to lack of entries. 9 days before the event there were only 3 confirmed entries--just got my car so I was to be number 4. Even though more entries could be delivered in the mail there looked to be no way for the club to come close to break even. As insurance is very expensive (especially considering that Bronson is a huge airfield with absolutely nothing to hit) the R.E. decided not to take a crippling...

13 Replies and 990 Views Unofficial El Toro Pro Sat. Night activity  990  13 Started by  Davard For those of you who just can't get enough racing, I have taken it upon myself to organize a little Sat. night racing. The site is about 15 miles from El Toro. The place is called Dromo 1. It's an indoor cart track, with 20 hp karts. They supply driver suits, helmets, and neck collar. The plan, depending on how many people show up, is practice/qualifying in groups of up to 15, and take the top 12-15 and run in a 12 minute race (20-23 laps), with slower drivers put in their own groups based on ti...

4 Replies and 766 Views Vehicle Storage Between San Diego Tour and El Toro Pro  766  4 Started by  NBM LS1 M6 I was informed this morning that there is a **possibility** that space could be secured for those interested in storing their vehicles, trailered or otherwise, for the week between the San Diego National Tour and the El Toro Pro Solo. The storage space would be on site at El Toro MCAS.As I understand it, no space has been rented or reserved **yet,** but if there were interested parties, something could be arranged. Realize that time is very short to make such arrangements. If anyone is interested...

3 Replies and 668 Views Help with Solo II tire choice  668  3 Started by  Richard To keep us in the stock class we have decided to run stock 13x5.5JJ wheels on our TR-7 and buy some Solo II tires. The Kumhos are only available in a size that I think is too large for 5.5 rims. Anyone knowing the size and manufacture that works best at just under a mile, usually mid 2nd gear, at a track like Englishtown NJ, or with this kind of information or anyone knowing how I can get in touch with people from around the country running Triumph TR-7's in Solo II or any one running 13x5.5 r...
