As I read through the 2014 draft rules it appears that the BMW 3-series (2004 BMW 330Ci ZHP in particular) has been moved from D Stock to F Street.  Is this accurate Thanks, Tom

I have been burned with the current rule on rotor allowance in Stock/Street and after thinking a bit more about this rule, less and less sense I see in it. It allows the after-market ones to be used, but they have to be almost identical to the OEM. This is the first problem with this allowance - nobody makes replacements that are identical to those! 8 Replies and 1759 Views Z06 Classing Question  1759  8 Started by  beansandrice I just picked up a used 2006 C6 Corvette Z06.  I want to run it in solo.  I've been out of the game for a while so I am a bit confused by the new rules.  Based on what I have read stock C6 Z06 is in AS, if I run a 140 treadwear or higher tire.  If I run Hoosier A6s then the car goes into SS R.  If I leave the K&N cold air on the car that it had on it when I bought it, then the car goes into SSP.  Is this accurate. Also I can't find any good 140 or 200 treadwear...

 1/-1 could've been based off the standard O.E. wheel size only, and state optional wheels do not qualify for 1/-1.  The spirit of the rule was to help people who do not have the luxury of 2-3 wheel size options, and don't have competitive tires in their size (diameter), not to help the lucky few put wider wheels on their 'street' car while maintaining the same diameter.  Discuss......

The order system officially opened today for the 2015 WRX.  What class in the Street category do you think it will fall in  It's no faster strait-line than the outgoing model, but reviewers universally praise the handling improvements.  Power band improvements and shorter gearing mean it should get out of slow corners better, but it also runs out of revs at ~60 in second gear where the 11-14 would pull into the mid 60s without having to shift to 3rd.  Its ~60 lbs heavier tha...

For next season I'd like to change out the stock tires.  I'm a middle of the pack guy, and don't see myself getting close to being competitive in Street, so I feel like buying a 200 treadwear tire would be a good idea. Is there a '200' tire out there that will keep me mid-pack or better Thanks for any and all advice.
