1 Replies and 914 Views Proposed spoiler rule change in FastTrack (15.2.I.2.b)  914  1 Started by  Tim Irwin Does anyone have insight behind the reasoning for this change Street Prepared 19715 Proposed wording for new spoiler rule. The SPAC requests member comment on the following proposed changes to 15.2.I.2.b: “b) It is a non-production rear spoiler which is mounted to the rearmost portion of the rear hatch, deck, or trunk lid. The spoiler may extend no more than 10” (254 mm) from the original bodywork in any direction. Alternatively, in a hatchback, the spoiler may be mounted to the rear...

1 Replies and 926 Views Max Tire and Wheel on a 95 Camaro  926  1 Started by  DanKimber Tried doing some searches, but the forum kept crashing. Will a 17X11 rim with a 315 tire fit on all four corners of a 95 camaro Looking at it for STP, but thought it would be better to ask over here. I am thinking C4 Grand Sport Rims and 315s or going back to 17X9 camaro SS rims, with 275s. Thanks, Dan

1 Replies and 7648 Views Live rear axle sway bar  7648  1 Started by  BillyBoB Hi, I currently run ESP in a 2011 Mustang GT. My current suspension mods include 1.5inch lowering springs and shocks to accommodate the lower ride height and a Whiteline front sway bar. I run 295 30 18 BFG R1-S on all four wheels. I am currently considering if a newer/stiffer whiteline rear bar would help or hurt my setup. I get conflicting stories when I ask others at autocross events. The courses I generally run are short and tight. Any insight is much appreciated.

2 Replies and 1884 Views Subclassing new guy  1884  2 Started by  Gerald Hey all. I've determined that my Chevy cruze will go into the SPF class, but it sounds like some people slip into another level of sp on accident. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but is there something I can do that will move me to another section of sp without doing anything more than boly ons and standard upgrades Thank you Gerald

0 Replies and 1349 Views Hankook z214 c91 compound legality.  1349  0 Started by  turboz523 I've been running these tires locally for about a season now and seem to give every bit as much grip as the Hoosier A6's I've run in the past. I've also tried the c71 compound and they don't have the same grip level as the A6. I'm planning on bringing the car to Lincoln this year and I want clarification as to whether or not the Hankook is legal or not. They only make the c91 compound in one tire size but technically its still a z214 tire. The rule states at least 4 different diameters of ti...

12 Replies and 7148 Views Mustang IRS swap  7148  12 Started by  Rob I have a 1994 Mustang with a 2003 Cobra IRS. I want to clarify whether or not this swap is legal in ESP. After reading the rules over and over I have convinced myself that it is legal through the updating rules.   Both cars are on the same line in Appendix A: Mustang (SN95 chassis, NOC including Cobra & Cobra R) (1994-2004) And this line from the rulebook convinced me as well 'Porsche 911 models that are listed on the same line are considered the same.' Any body have a...

34 Replies and 11146 Views Would you support head/cam swaps in SP?  11146  34 Started by  SMSupercoupe
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
Just out of curiosity: How many in *SP would be in favor of aftermarket cams How about aftermarket valve springs/retainers How about porting & polishing stock head castings How about aftermarket head castings Obviously, the cost of building a car would go up, so there's one good reason to oppose it. But personally, I'd probably support it, since I think it would be a lot of fun. Thoughts I don't want to write any letters at the moment, but I do want to see what others in SP have t...

The SPAC would like to hear from membership how they feel about ESP. The SPAC feels that this car would not be an overdog in ESP.'   Thoughts

4 Replies and 3627 Views 98-02 WS6 Trans Am - why so few running in ESP?  3627  4 Started by  coneassasin I've been considering switching from a 3rd gen Camaro to a 4th gen for some time now. The only 3rd gen in ESP at nationals this year showed me that, while the car has the handling prowess to get around the cones, it simply doesn't have the power needed for some of the courses. Newer Mustangs coming from the factory with 400 HP easily puts any 3rd gen besides Madarash's out for the count, I don't think Sam could even push one to a win these days.  So I want more power, and I proven chassis...

70 Replies and 13888 Views ESP V8 guys have done it again! Nice!  13888  70 Started by  MrAWD
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 3 4 )
Just saw the latest Fast track and even though I have heard that proposal was aiming WRXs, just realized that DSMs are actually a target as well. So, after almost 30 years of being part of the class, V8 guys have figured out again that those AWD cars are not good for the class! Pathetic is the only word that comes to my mind right now, but really How low this should really go Fedja

8 Replies and 3432 Views 2014 Camaro 1LE to ESP?  3432  8 Started by  BamaLE Ok, have a few questions. Just completed my first year in FS and had a really good time. Due to a possible sponsor deal, I'll have to move out of FS and on to another class. Here is a list of what will be done, and what I'd like to do.  1. Shorty headers and high flow cats 2. Lowered 1 inch all the way around. 3. Larger rear sway bar. 4. Front lower splitter under the factory splitter/lower spoiler. 5. Rear seat delete, upper and lower. 6. Cold air intake, not open, but sealed lid sty...

1 Replies and 3091 Views Looking for a Co-Drive in CSP for Nationals  3091  1 Started by  Macspeed I'm going to Nationals regardless if my car is prepped all the way or not, but as of now it looks like I'm out of time and not enough funds in order to get it there. After getting killed at the Toledo Pro, but knowing I drove well, I realized that my car needs a lot more just to stay out of last place, lol. I really want to stay in the class so I was hoping someone in CSP needs a tire warmer for Nationals. It doesn't have to be a fully prepped front runner, just something I would have a fighting...
