6 Replies and 1172 Views Classing Help For New Guy 1172 6 Started by JustinBragan Hey All, Sorry for the post but I am having difficulty figuring out what class I would fit in for SCCA Solo 2. I have been out of the car scene a while and am within a couple of months of resuming autocross. I have much experience with local clubs and PCA, but this will be my first foray into SCCA events. I plan on hitting up my first event in the Florida region SCCA sometime in the next 2-3 months. (Look for me and say hello: Blue/Grey Silverado,...

2 Replies and 1521 Views Advice on Wing for FD Rx7 1521 2 Started by dfink Recently acquired a 93 RX7. I have converted to a single turbo and am interested in adding a rear wing. The original rear spoiler has been removed so there are no mounting holes. There are a lot of wings advertised but really want something that will be useful and not just for show. Car would fall probably into SSM as it still has full interior and the only body mods are the removal of all emblems. The exhaust, turbo FMIC, porting and other mods will keep it out of any other class. Probably will...

The car will have front corner weights around 395 lbs, and rear around 490 lbs, running Hoosier A6s, and lots of power (480 or so). What size tires would you choose for this, if you could run any A6 Thanks!

3 Replies and 1851 Views Intake Locations? 1851 3 Started by mtuhro If the 'Bodywork and Structure' section of the Prep rules (17.2s) allow hood vents up to 500 in^2 and the 'Engine and Drivetrain' section (17.10b) allow for the intake to come from any 'authorized opening in the body work', can I feed the intake through the hood, assuming the opening is less than 500 in^2 and covered with 1/2' wire mesh

7 Replies and 2237 Views BM car ? 2237 7 Started by thewelder I just got the new sportscar and saw the car that won this year. I was under the impression that it had to be a older dsr or open wheel car. That car looked like an AM without the undertray. I have an old FSAE car that I run AM in now. It might be easier to run BM instead. Thanks. Chad

5 Replies and 2084 Views F-mod: how much pain? 2084 5 Started by JCN Hi guys and gals, can anyone give me some perspective on how much pain I'd be in for running F-mod Weather, dirt, heat and vibration, I get. But how much pain in breakage, rebuilding and risk of out of town failures I've been hanging out in Stock classes due to ease of prep and reliability of vehicles, but with all the stock-street shake up, I was thinking of F-mod. Assuming that the car is prepped already and I'm a mid-pack driver that isn't chasing every last tenth (i.e. I...

2 Replies and 2128 Views F125 Transport and spares list for out of town races? 2128 2 Started by DonF My local autocross club (Siskiyou Sports Car Club) took a closed vote last winter without telling me and banned all shifter karts if your over 17. Apparently two out of town f125 drivers set TTD and drove in the pits on the last race. So they banned everybody with Karts over 17 to be fair and stripped all kart times from the results. Yes it sounded stupid to me, but the club was already very anti- kart. With several very hostile members even when I had permission to run. I want to get a ...

Here’s our package: C4 Vette 2,400lbs without driver, built for XP. We will run a few concrete events, but mostly sealed asphalt. We always run 2 drivers.
