17 Replies and 7821 Views Slick vs A6 on ashpalt 7821 17 Started by JR125 I have driven many street tires(XS/R1R/Hankook) & DOT-R tires(710/A6), I have notice that the A6 seem to be faster than the V710 on cooler temp(65F) & ashpalt. I have driven Hoosier Slick for one time(dont remember which model) and it felt weird & and less grip than my A6 but that would not count since the slick is just old stock. I am trying to get into XP so my question is which will be faster A6 or Slick(hoosier/goodyear) in a 60F and ashpalt btw car is a F/I miata 1...

They look like a blast and seem to 'relatively' cost less to maintain and keep in peak performance. Thanks

Now that the XP class has been around for a few years there are finally a few cars being built to contend specifically in this class, including mine. However, I am feeling some frustration regarding the aerodynamic rules for the class in terms what is allowed to be added vs. what some cars come with stock. The rules specifically do not allow the addition of ducting for the front radiator thru the hood, bellypans, or rear diffusers. However some cars (i.e. Lotus) are allowed all of these aerody...

1 Replies and 1218 Views Can the hood on an XP car be modified to improve aero 1218 1 Started by josh dupree Hello, I am about 18 months into trying to prepare a 240sx to be a competitive XP car. Could I get some clairifacation on what can be done to the hood What has me confused is that the general prepared rules describe how a hood can be lightened or replaced and how openings in the hood can't exceed x square inches and cannot have holes over 1/2'. Later in the XP specific rules it says that the hood can be modified or replaced. Do the holes/ vents in the hood of an XP car still have to apply t...
