1 Replies and 2633 Views STL manifold question  2633  1 Started by  Illbebetter I've got another STL rule question. I've got a '90 with a '99 engine. Can I use a 99 eurosquare top manifold or do I have to use the U.S. vics version. Thanks.

1 Replies and 3736 Views Brand New! Some info/help?  3736  1 Started by  Capitalistix Hi there, I apologize in advance if this isnt the correct subforum or if I need a first post elsewhere (wouldnt be the first time Ive done so on a forum) Im brand new to the SCCA, and have been incredibly interested in both autoX and club racing. I would like to begin racing sometime this coming year in events but Im not sure what type of car/events to start in. Im no stranger to cars and would like to be competitive fairly quickly. I realize one must begin as a novice and move up from there w...

3 Replies and 3509 Views Subframe Connectors T1  3509  3 Started by  Torino1985 Hello,   I am in the process of building a CP autocross car and I was wondering if adding subframe connectors moves it out of T1 and into something else for Club racing.  I kind of what a dual purpose car.    I find it odd that it would move it classes as you can build a whole new rear suspension but you couldn't add subframe connectors.      But I am having a hard time interpreting some of the rules.     They seem to contradict thems...

1 Replies and 4503 Views STL Rules with H2 Honda Challenge car w/B16  4503  1 Started by  32Racing I was discussing with someone about running my H2 Honda Challenge car in SCCA Club racing under the STL class. It seems that the Honda Challenge rules have been mimicked for the most part, which makes it easy. I know a slew of guys who may be up for making the transition to rebel against our stupid hp caps. Most of us run the B16A, which seem to have an issue with the STL rules... In Honda Challenge, the B16A is allowed ITR cams, which have slightly over the 0.425' lift. Could there be an exept...

11 Replies and 3290 Views Where does my car belong?  3290  11 Started by  DGRacing Hi, I have a heavily modified street Boss 302 that is close to a World Challenge spec or GT3 type thing. I have nearly everything the PWC cars have (including the Pzero slicks), but will be running 50-80 more HP with some N/A engine modifications (intake, cams, exhaust). I looked over the SCCA classes but have no idea where this car should fit I'm new to SCCA. Help appreciated. Darren

5 Replies and 3121 Views T4 Rules Question  3121  5 Started by  golfitup Looking for some quick clarification on T4 rules before potentially building a T4 Ford Focus SVT.  'Any non-adjustable shock absorber is allowed . .. threaded shock bodies or adjusters may be used' - To me that means non-adjustable shock coil overs allowed, correct From my specific cars Notes: 'OEM optional limited slip differential permitted'. From T2-T4 Rules 4.b.2. 'all legitimately classified cars in Touring Class are permitted a limited-slip differential. Locked differentials are no...

1 Replies and 2310 Views STL with AWD?  2310  1 Started by  autodoctor911@gmail.com I have been reading through the rules with the intention of building or buying a SCCA STL or STU car. GCR  states(9.3.5) that all wheel drive is prohibited except for Touring, Improved Touring and Super Touring, and as far as I have been able to find, STL has no specific rule against it, so it must be legal right  Or did I just read right over it and miss it somewhere I see no weight penalties for awd in STL though.  Is this because it is not really an advantage at the low powe...
