    Hi all.

    Glad to be here.

I've joined the SCCA within the past year and will be racing an E36 BMW 325is in ITS beginning this season.

VIR is my home track, so I am glad to see quite a few races there in the coming year. I'll be at as many as funds and college allow.

See you folks at the track.

I am in Richmond, VA... exactly halfway between Summit Point (NEDiv track) and VIR (SEDiv track). I am a NEDiv member but I spent more time at SEDiv events this year. Talk about confusing. :-)

    Question:

I have a car that I am going to enter in SPO for a few races this year. I just got the car prepared for an SCCA school that is coming up.

My question is does the car need to have the seat re-enforcement bar to be tech legal etc.? The one that goes behind the seat to keep it from going back during an impact. I am getting conflicting reports.

    Thanks.

YES, YES, YES. The seat back brace is a part of the SCCA saftey requirements.
