Can you please advise us on what preferred pixel size avatar photo the new website is looking for?

I just uploaded a random photo I had - IIRC about a 1/2-Meg or so. It resized it to what it wanted, with a bit of distortion. Active .gif images it might not like, I dunno. (means no jiggly-boobies for you, Lehman!)

That's the problem. The further away from the pre-determined optimum size it is the more distorted it will be (see my avatar - blurry). I could fudge a number of sizing iterations to figure it out, but asking for it directly is how I would prefer to address it, assuming somebody in the know responds.

They are currently set for 128x128. Thoughts on upping it to 150x150?

And of course, I - Captain Oblivious - realized that was what you were about roughly 2-minutes after replying to your post.......

My avatar didn't start showing up until after I created a signature. Logged out and logged back in, and it was still there as my photo in my profile, but not showing up on any posts. I go in and created a short sig, and bam, photo appears but sig doesn't. Is that normal?

I cannot even do step 1...why do I not see the My Settings link anywhere? I should be reaching the "Forums page" when I click "Forums" above, right?

The latest software upgrade moved the My Settings functionality, I'm working on trying to get it exposed again and will post again when it is.

I noticed that my Avatar pic had a broken link symbol. Tried to upload another Avatar picture. Couldn't do it. Tried several different pics. ranging in size from 96x57 pixels to 115x97 pixels

    Got the following message:

"The file 'Lean2.JPG' could not be uploaded: The underlying system threw an exception. The file has not been added."

Tried 2 different computers. Windows NT running Firefox and a Notebook running Windows 8.
    Jpegs.
I have uploaded Avatars of this size and type on other forums so I think I am not making any errors.

    Hope you can help.
