The DSS is working with Jay and Asher right now on some innovative ideas to make it well worth your time and money to come. You will regret not coming to visit this spectacular site, Arkansas hospitality, and a great host region. Get your entries in today or you will regret hearing from your friends about all the fun and seat time they had!!!! (written by DSS - Dave Whitworth)

(Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
Hey all, first post here. I'm pretty damn interested in getting started in some SCCA action. I have a 2005 Mazda 3s 5spd MTX thats lowered on Mazdaspeed (Eibach Prokit) springs, with Mazdaspeed struts up front and shocks in the rear. I ditched the 17x6.5 wheels with the 205/50/17 Goodyear Eagle RS-A's in favor of some 17x7 Exel wheels with Toyo Proxes Fz4 215/45/17. I don't know a single thing about SCCA or Solo, or whatever it is that you perfer to call it. But I do know that I'm tired...

12 Replies and 802 Views Solo Trials - any interest in the St. Louis Region?  802  12 Started by  John P So I was just reading the latest Fastrack and under the Solo category was something that really caught my eye. Higher speed solo events called Solo Trials. This seems perfect for those who are uneasy with attending very high speed events such as this past weeked PDX. Or for those who simply don't want to stress their cars as much as track days do. So who in the St. Louis region would be interested in these types of events Taken from the June Fastrack: APPENDIX D - SOLO TRIALS RULES I. PU...

11 Replies and 817 Views Clutch Install  817  11 Started by  Toxic The little red beasts bearing is screaming at me occasionally so I guess it is time to tear into it and replace the clutch and the associated pieces. Having never done said project (91 Miata) however I am a bit apprehensive at the task. So a couple of questions: 1-How long should this take I use the car for DD can it be done in a night If not I need to get my truck out of storage. 2-Anyone with a lift available at night for rent 3-Anyone want to give a hand I'm getting set to o...

0 Replies and 444 Views Waiver Workers Guidelines  444  0 Started by  bschnard Hi Everyone, Well finally the second event of the year for St. Louis is here. I would like to present some guidelines for all or our great gate workers when getting waivers signed. After last event I collected all of the waivers that had been seigned up until the time I left for the day and realized that there were a few things that we could all stand to review. I also felt that it would not be a bad thing for every one to take a look at the guides so I decided to post my thoughts h...

1 Replies and 595 Views Looking for CSL codriver for some St. Louis events and Nationals  595  1 Started by  sburkett My son John and I are going to codrive our '06 MX-5 in CS for a few local events and Solo II Nationals. My wife Sheila will be driving in CSL and we are looking for a codriver for her. Our race and business schedules make divisional or tour attendance impossible. Car will be available at the following St. Louis events: 5/29, 6/18, 7/23, 8/27; and of course Solo II Nationals. Car is a Sport model with no other options, should be a very competitive car, I believe that aside from possibly th...

2 Replies and 585 Views Redline Time Attack  585  2 Started by  JamesE Okay so this isn't an SCCA sanctioned event, but it is similar to a SCCA Club Trial. I recently attended the Redline Time Attack at the BeaveRun Motorsports Complex in Pennsylvania. It was an absolute blast! I hope that everyone enjoys these track days as much as I do so we can see some growth in the SCCA PDX / Club Trial program. BeaveRun was a fantastic course for this style event. If you aren't willing to take the 10 hour drive to see for yourself, check out the videos on my website.

0 Replies and 563 Views Letter from the National Solo Event Chairman  563  0 Started by  gidtup Greetings fellow Soloists It is getting closer to the 2006 Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals – which starting this year will be held at Heartland Park Topeka (HPT) race track. Because it is a new venue and because it is very different from past Solo Nationals sites, there seems to be much speculation and many wild claims flying around the internet and Solo events around the nation. I hope to address some of these speculations and claims in this letter. I should probably also mention that K...

2 Replies and 592 Views General Meeting  592  2 Started by  RX555 Reminder that there's a general meeting tonight (Monday 5/15) at Sybergs Westport at 7. We've been having pretty light turnouts lately and I miss hanging out after over a couple cold beverages. Haven't seen the likes of those who used to show up fairly regularly. Hopefully we'll be moving them to GP Speedways in a few months, but until then, come on out to Sybergs.
