15 Replies and 1293 Views Walnut Ridge Memoirs ( My 1st National Tour Event)  1293  15 Started by  bumsarama Just wanted to quickly write a few things about my recent experience at the Walnut Ridge tour. As far as the results of the actual event are concerned, it was horrible to say the least. I walked away very displeased with myself , but find that my awful performance will help me in the future. We'll get to the driving later. I could write a long memoir about the trip and include many details about my feelings, observations, moments of boredom/glory, etc , but then none of you will read this crap ...

3 Replies and 673 Views STL Solo Waiver workers wanted  673  3 Started by  bschnard Hi, I'm the new St. Louis Region Chief of Waivers and part of my charter for that position is to recruit and train waiver workers. For this year the position is optional but my understanding is that next year the position will be manditory due to some Insurance concerns. The concerns revolve around the proper procedures for filling in the waivers, witnessing the waivers as well as concerns with long term storage of the filled out waivers. With that said, I would like to start my rec...

2 Replies and 790 Views Each Region Offered one FREE entry for the 2006 National Road Rally Championships in Kansas  790  2 Started by  gidtup From Mike Dickerson at the SCCA National Office: This is so good I just couldn’t wait to get this out Inside Line, so I am sending this directly to you now. The RoadRally Department is offering one heck of a deal to United States Road Rally competitors this year. It’s so simple that if I wasn’t an SCCA Staff member I would jump on this, and I am one poor ralliest! Each Region (yep, 111 of them) can authorize one USRRC Rally Team per Region for a free Regional entry to this year’...

16 Replies and 1268 Views Switching from RWD to FWD  1268  16 Started by  Slowdude So as the first step in our family planning process, we gave the Miata to mom last week bought a Mini Cooper S. This is the first FWD car we have owned in a decade and it really feels strange. The handling is awesome at regular speeds but, in closed course testing, I feel like I am constantly understeering when hard in corners and I can’t seem to get the rear of the car to pivot no matter what ham fisted things I try. The car is totally stock and likely to remain so. Anyone have an autocross...

2 Replies and 763 Views schedule changes and e-mail notifications  763  2 Started by  mazdamike Would it be possible for someone who has all the latest changes in all the individual schedules to look at and change/confirm the validity of the entire 'downloadable' STL/MidDiv schedule It appears that the 'triple' conflict for April 9 has been resolved by moving both the Rallycross and RoadRally to different dates. However the Rallycross is still listed on THAT weekend (now April 2). Additionally the story about Jim Stevens (right side of STL homepage) has April 2, but calls it SATURDAY. Sin...

11 Replies and 1160 Views Some Thank You's - Club Racing Double Drivers School & Regional Race March 24,25 & 26, 2006  1160  11 Started by  gidtup Gary, (Tech Chief)I just wanted to say thanks for your help in getting me 'teched' and through driver's school. You probably didn't realize it at the time, but just stopping by to spend a few minutes in the paddock or in the media room to say hello or ask how its going, reallly helped me get through that mixture of nervousness and excitement. I hope everything goes well for your transition to the new hospital. (FYI Gary has accepted a new job in Columbia MO running a Hospital there) I imagine i...
