The St. Louis & Southern Illinois - SCCA Regions INVITE YOU! to the "Mid-States Majors and I.T. Races" presented by EPCUSA.com at the "CIRCUIT OF ST. LOUIS" (Gateway Motorsports Park Road Course) on April 22-23, 2017. This includes IT Regional Races, AND is the FIRST "MAJORS" Race in MiDiv this year!

WE COULD USE YOUR HELP ON THE CORNER STATIONS!! ,,,, We very much appreciate our volunteers, and we cannot hold the events without YOU! We anticipate some great racing and FUN will be had by all. If you think you may not be experienced enough - NOT TRUE! We, as SOP, assign the less experienced persons with those "old timers" that will help train and guide them. And, you will NEVER be expected to do anything you are not comfortable with.

We can't THANK YOU enough for any events you have attended at GMP in the past; and hope you can JOIN US AGAIN - April 22, 23. As you may know these events draw from a larger geographical area, and we need to staff them with some of our BEST and MOST EXPERIENCED PEOPLE on each corner - BUT!! - We are also in need of simply 'eyes' to help keep watch on the competition!  ((EVERYONE is welcome and invited to participate regardless of "time in" the Specialty of F&C! {Flagging and Communication}))

This year we will again have a "Welcome Party"of light food and drink on Friday evening during Registration and Tech. (Especially helpful for those coming from out of town.) AND AS USUAL we will provide LUNCH BOTH DAYS for all Workers/Volunteers; as well as the SATURDAY EVENING "DINNER PARTY", including all food and "drink"!

Of course, as usual, the Stewards and Organizers would like to know who is coming well in advance if possible. As an incentive for signing up now, we will be supplying an "EVENT T-SHIRT" for everyone, to help us say THANK YOU!!

ARE YOU, or are you NOT a RACE FAN?? Perhaps you are an avid autocrosser who wishes you could take your game higher. Maybe you do "PDX" and would like to gain the experience of watching others negotiate the turns at Gateway, and observe their lines and braking points etc. as driving instructors would. You might even just like to watch racing from the "Best Seat In The House" - on a corner station. THIS is your chance to answer those desires and greatly help out the Region at the same time!

SO, Why not take a couple of minutes right now to head over to MSREG and get signed up. If you have any problems doing so, or just prefer not to go through that link for some reason, you can reply to me,  midaby@gmail.com   or contact Sheila Burkett - Chief Registrar at   registrar@stlscca.org   or Linda Miklovic - Worker Coordinator at   cheerful_linda@yahoo.com  or  cheerful.linda@gmail.com

Please come join your friends, and the rest of us, at this event, and/or make new ones too! The worker meeting is at 7:15 am each day in the Media Center, and we look forward to seeing you then!!

    Quick update for this weekend,,,,,,,

Group 5 now has 41 Racers ready to take the Green Flag!!

I'm very surprised more Autocrossers and PDX Folks aren't interested in the Racing Program??

Hi! We are looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. Here are just a few updates for everyone.

Gates should be open Friday morning (tomorrow) by 7 am and first cars on the track will be 9 am. You must check in with Gateway and get a wristband to confirm you have registered for the Test Day. If you owe money, I will collect it at SCCA Registration. It is my understanding that they will do two groups, Closed Wheel followed by Open Wheel. Lunch will be between 12-1 pm

Registration and Tech are open 5-8 pm on Friday7 am - noon on Saturday and Sunday

Due to limited paddock space being available, all rigs will be directed for parking by the Paddock Marshall. If you arrive after 9 pm on Thursday or Friday night, the GMP Security team will stage you for entry into the track the next morning. Questions - call or text Carla at 314-616-6313.

Join us in the Media Center (across from registration) for food and drinks between 6-8 pm or until it is gone.

Fuel will be available the following days and times:

     Friday 8-11am
     Saturday 7-10 am and 3-5pm
     NO HOURS on Sunday

Hey, want to say thanks for a great race weekend to all the volunteers and workers from the two sponsoring regions. Thanks for the BBQ from Lautz and Shay, superb and generous in all respects. Great officiating, great national anthem by Rachel (and tech too), great registration and trophies. Even great weather! And good driving by fellow competitors. "I'll be back."
