2 Replies and 679 Views Golf Cart Classification?  679  2 Started by  Lehrschall Bob Wilkinson brought out a golf cart and trailer this weekend. Seriously, Bob worked on this thing to make loading and unloading of the cones easier while we are setting up and tearing down the course. The cart's trailer is at a nice height so us old folks don't hurt ourselves lifting cone stacks up to a truck bed. Bob spent a lot of t...

4 Replies and 764 Views Calling All Solo Drivers  764  4 Started by  Luis Moreno To All, I know that this is a last minute notice, but I originally was going to be out of town this coming weekend - but there is a change of plans! We have already cancelled our July 30th Championship event, but if we can secure a minimum number of at least ten drivers to commit to run this Sunday, we can have a Test N' Tune event instead. The cost per driver will be $25 each (SCCA member or non-member) to help cover the rental fee cost of the stadium parking lot. If interested please respo...

12 Replies and 1006 Views F Stock Competition Heating Up!  1006  12 Started by  Lehrschall With a little more than half the season's events completed, it looks like the F Stock Championship is still too close to call! Vincent has been steadily improving. I watched him run on Sunday and he turned some very impressive times. He's getting the car right and he's getting smoother. Roy , Rich, and I were not running, but Vincent ran at a winning pace and earned the points. . Roy was under the weather and could not make the last event. There was a rumor that I did not run to avoid tak...

3 Replies and 630 Views Soft Cones vs Concrete Dividers  630  3 Started by  Lehrschall I've continued my 'off-course' solo practice using an occasional construction zone and then on Monday, the concrete barriers at the border crossing. I would argue that there is not a cone penalty as none of the barriers were knocked over and the car body did not get a scratch! However, I miss-calculated the concrete barrier base and it ate up two tires and two wheels. I'd follow with the moral of the story thing, but I'd rather note than I blew the doors off the RX8 I was racing in the set of ...
