2 Replies and 3835 Views Czacki logs Hallett Win  3835  2 Started by  ZOK Stan Czacki bested all the SS cars at Hallett, OK yesterday during the Green Country Grand Prix, taking his second win of 2010. There were only 4 SS cars in attendance- 3 C and 1 B in the 25 car field. All SS cars started behind the A Sedan, Touring 2&3 and Spec Miata competitors and Stan moved up 5 positions to finish 15th overall. Still struggling to dial in the car with recurring ABS problems causing real wheel lock up/loss of traction on braking, Stan was only able to come within .3 secs...

Stan Czacki took the 00 black 'El Caballo Oscuro' Camaro to a second place finish on Saturday and a win on Sunday. Stan struggled with dialing in himself and the car to the 2.9 mile course, but kept going quicker every session to hassle the 11 Solstice ZOK of Texan Ralph Siebert who had the pole both days and won on Saturday. The races were close with the two cars turning laps within .2 secs of each other on this long 15 turn course. ...

1 Replies and 2363 Views Great opportunity for 2010  2363  1 Started by  Lehrschall It looks like 2010 will start off with a 'Test and Tune' day on February 27. I always like these because they give us a chance to check out adjustments (tire pressures, shocks, anti-sway bars, etc.) and driving strategies without worrying about championship point standings. Real course challenges will be in place and timing will provide the ultimate feedback on which setups and approaches work best for you. The Pan Am Region members are always good about offering rides or riding along with yo...

0 Replies and 740 Views 2009 Team Pan Am Club Racing season concludes...  740  0 Started by  Richard Dziak For most Team Pan Am Club Racers the 2009 racing season has concluded. There may be 1 or 2 entries in the Arizona Region 1st ..1/2 season for November and December. Due to economic conditions 'club racing' activity for many within our own club and across the country was curtailed. Hopefully once economic conditions improve, racers will have more disaposble income to spend on racing. During the next 6 months, many club racing owner/drivers will work and prepare their cars for the next coming raci...

0 Replies and 715 Views Next Year  715  0 Started by  ZOK With the SCCA BOD's announcement today that SS cars are being granted another two years of eligibility, our plans for next year can be finalized. Now that showroom stock cars are eligible for 12 years, rather than just 10, it makes resurrecting another old Camaro worthwhile.......thus will be born 'El Caballo Oscuro', the Dark Horse 00, a black Gen4 Camaro from the El Paso desert that will replace the recently deceased 'White Lighting'. It's gonna be a lot of work to rollcage him and make him r...

3 Replies and 899 Views Not this year!  899  3 Started by  ZOK Hello all, Sad to say I will be missing my first Runoffs race in my 10 or so years of Runoffs competition. Yesterday in Q2 something on the car 'popped' and I ended up rolling three times entering T1.....I'm at 125mph or so at end of that straight. Thankfully it was in gravel, not against a wall and all safety equipment held up admirably. We're not sure what happened beyond a flat RF tire (cause or effect) and lots of ps fluid all over the place. I'm fine....the car not so much. Stan C

0 Replies and 642 Views Team Pan Am Club Racing Update 7-21-2009  642  0 Started by  Richard Dziak I thought it would be a good time to provide an update of the Team Pan Am Club Racing program for 2009. It has been a slow year of activity for Pan Am racers. Economic conditions and car maintenance has taken its toll on our club racers for 2009. Club Racing membership has fallen to just 6 racers in 2009. Some past active racers have not renewed their SCCA Club Racing licenses. For those members who are not involved in the Club Racing program, the costs to renew licenses, enter events, travel an...
