6 Replies and 748 Views Columbus results posted  748  6 Started by  GroovinPickle Due to technical difficulties, we* lost the complete timing files from this weekend. I was able to piece together the results (fast runs for everybody) and re-key it. So results are posted on the site. Since it was keyed manually, it's quite likely that I made a typo somewhere. So if you see one, let me know. http://www.msscca.org * The files were lost because I saved each heat (two per day) with an underscore denoting the heat. For example: 08-26-06_1.DAT and 08-26-06_2.DAT. The und...

2 Replies and 659 Views Borrowed idea for trophies  659  2 Started by  LanceS13 Here's an idea from our transplanted Focus pilots in the Buccaneer Region. Instead of plaques or cups or trophies, Don has employed a different award system...and I like it. The top 3 or 5 drivers (or however many you want to do) get monetary credits/coupons applicable towards their next event's entry fee. 1st could be full paid, 2nd could be $20, 3rd could be $15, 4th could be $10, or whatever. The advantages of this as I see it are: 1. Probably cheaper than trophies. 2. Gives the...

5 Replies and 701 Views New to Forum!  701  5 Started by  bluebb6 Hey everyone! I'm Amanda Garner and I have only competed once in autocross and that was in Feb. at the CAFB. I have a 97 Honda prelude Type SH and many know my bf Trey Williams in His 2000 Civic SI (the one with Blue wheels). I usually come out to them with him, but I am one of those nervous kind of people it only took him 2 years to convience me to try it and Feb. made it easier to compete in autocross, plus I enjoyed it. I won't be competeing in this up coming one, because we are taking my...

13 Replies and 913 Views Who is Stu and what has he done with my car?  913  13 Started by  GroovinPickle I was hauling some bricks so the back end of my car looked really low! That threw my camber all out of whack so I picked up some adjustable lower control arms to fix that. I was filthy from loading those bricks into the trunk and I didn't want to get my nice leather seat dirty, so I picked up this old thing to take its place. Remember how I had those nifty double-adjustable rear shocks in Grenada Well I picked up some for the front too, but I'll be ...

10 Replies and 876 Views Event structure, scoring  876  10 Started by  GroovinPickle So I'm sitting at work, doing some thinking (no comments from the peanut gallery)... At Nationals, Tours, etc. the event consists of 6 runs spread out over two days. Take your best run from each day, add the two together and you get your total time. We typically get 6 runs in one day at our local events. I think it would be interesting to apply the same system to one of our events (one day, that is). I can really see that raising the level of competition - no more 'throwaway' runs...

5 Replies and 689 Views NPR Open Track Day  689  5 Started by  mrmiatanut Hey Guys and Gals, I just wanted to see what everyone thought. I called No Problem Raceway and they will rent the track for $200 an hour during the week. Would yall be interested in going down there one day in the next month. You would get more than enough track time. The only catch is it has to be Mon - Fri.

47 Replies and 2280 Views Grenada, July 22-23  2280  47 Started by  GroovinPickle
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 3 )
Preliminary information about the Grenada event is posted on the site. Details (including schedule) are forthcoming. I hope to see everybody out there. As usual, a volunteer is needed to pull the trailer from Jackson. You know the drill - your event fee is waived, the region covers your gas, and you get a free night's stay in Grenada. And who knows, you might just get offered a good co-drive opportunity...

2 Replies and 663 Views SEDiv Huntsville: June 17-18  663  2 Started by  GroovinPickle Information and registration is here. This Divisional event is a perfect way to experience a higher level of autocross competition. The site is nice, the courses will be put together by an experienced designer, and there will be some fast drivers there. There are 93 entrants signed up thus far, with many more to come. Who's coming with me If anybody wants to co-drive the M3 with me, let me know. All I ask is that we split the cost of consumables (fuel/tires).
