    Hello,

First off please excuse my ignorance. I just purchased a 1989 CRX and I'm not sure where it would be classed. It is mostly stock except for a header and KYB AGX's, the springs I'm not aware of if there aftermarket or stock but in either case I am going to replace them with a Eibach pro-kit or something anyway. I currently have a Camaro in CP and it has been about 11 years since I autocrossed a CRX back when they where in D-Stock with the Neon R/T's. If someone knows what class this would be in that would be great and i would be open to any set-up suggestions anyone may have.

    Thank you,
    Bryan

header + springs = STS, assuming you run on street tires, not r-comps.

What would r-comps and a cam put me in?

Street Modified FWD, where you will be battling motor-swapped cars. A cam will do little for your CRX.

I looked at the rulebook at home last night and I seen that it said that CRX's are excluded from Street Modified, at least by how I read it. So, from what I read, it looks like STS, CSP, and EP are the three classes that it would be placed in.

Does this sound right or am I reading the rulebook wrong?

You are reading the rulebook wrong. CRX's are legal in both SSM and SMF.

Ok, sorry for being dense but after rereading, it looks like the are excluded from SM, but are legal for SSM and SMF. It is kinda confusing to me how it reads on p.107-8 about the SM category.
