8 Replies and 606 Views Looking for a good car for a 16 yr. old  606  8 Started by  kar120c My son is looking for a first car. You know how it goes - he needs it to be stupid fast, with giant stereo. ;-) Dad just wants it to be mechanically sound, but will buy into the sporty part of it! I want it to be a manual so he learns to drive one and if rear wheel drive I want it to have a LSD so he can drive in the snow. Price range $4k - $6k. If anyone knows of a good car looking for a home, give me shout! Thanks, Phil

26 Replies and 1389 Views SMS class @ Event 4 (w/ Columbus)? Still Aussie?  1389  26 Started by  The Nebulizer
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
Will we be running an SMS class at Columbus or just using the -1 second street tire SM rule (I'm fine with either as they are pretty similar, just wanted to know beforehand.) While I am discussing rules, any chance that since we lost event 3 this year we can dump the Aussie Pursuit in favor of a regular autocross event If not, will we be reducing the number of events scored for the season points due to the lost event And if we are sticking with Aussie, has there been any more discussion ...

85 Replies and 3782 Views National Tour in our "back yard"...still room to get in!  3782  85 Started by  RonConrad
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 3 ... 4 )
I just checked the entry list for the Grissom National Tour, June 27-29th, and it is currently at 86. The entry cap is 325, so you can still get signed up! Indy Region SCCA is hosting this event, and it should be a great time. Running the National Tour qualifies you for the Solo Nationals. The only requirements are: Preregistration, you must be an SCCA member, and show a Solo rule book at Registration (or buy one). There is a different course on Saturday, and Sunday. They take your best t...

3 Replies and 577 Views Peru Pro Solo?  577  3 Started by  balefire So work is not letting me play at the Peru NT this year. Boo! Probably for the best though since my current skill set precludes me from getting it done in 3 runs. So has the Indy region ever considered hosting a pro solo Having done both, I thought the pro was one of the most fun autox to do. Other threads suggest that the rate limiting factor is not finding a region to host it there. just curious, and im sorry I can't be there next weekend!

All, Raleigh Boreen just told me that the South Bend Region is waiving the late registration fee for late entries to their June 8 Grissom Solo - IF you register there on-site before 8:30 AM. This may be a good substitute for the rained-out Indy Region Terre Haute airport event. Darren

19 Replies and 1138 Views I have a new racecar.  1138  19 Started by  GChambers I couldn't resist. The car was for sale last summer and I wanted to buy it then but unfortunately I was not in a position to do so. It came back up for sale a few weeks ago so I jumped on it. I bought a new one in 1990 and loved it. One of the most fun cars I have owned. I got a great deal on the car. The only drawback is that it doesn't currently have a title but I am working on that now. It is a very well prepaired STS2 car. Revalved Konis, Koni sleeves, ST rear bar, pimpy wheels with Stones,...
