I recently moved back to Ohio and I am also new to the Autocross scene (I partisipated in 2 events last year in TX). Is there a web site that would let me know of all events in Ohio. Also is there any events that are open to the public at Mid-Ohio?

There is a "Mansfield Sports Car Club" that runs autocross events at Mansfield airport. I ran one last year and it was alot of fun. I dont think they have a website, but Terry Carr is the contact person. I can give you his number if you email me privately.

Up in Akron, which is about an hour away, there is the Akron Sports Car Club and Neohio SCCA. Each runs once a month, meaning you can autocross twice a month!

As for Mid Ohio, poke around the web for Porsche and BMW clubs. They run events at Mid Ohio, and most are open to any car.

For a start, you might try the Akron
Sports Car Club (http://ascc.cjb.net/)

If you're Mansfield, you are on the border between NEOhio and Ohio Valley Region, which I am a member of. OVR runs a pretty serious Solo II program and has produced several national champions in the last couple years. Most of the time they run at the GM Delphi on the west side of Columbus, about an hour's drive from Mansfield. I don't remember the Solo chair's name, but if you'll email me I'll pass it on.

As posted by Flagger X, OVR conducts a very competitive solo series in Columbus. I am in Shelby and run many events at Mid-O. SCCA Nationals & Regionals as well as PCA, Audi Club, ect. Nelson Ledges has open track days and it is only 2 hours away. You are surrounded by racing opportuniities. Do your home work and you will find many events to participate in in Central Ohio.

Try http://www.autocross.com/

There isn't much there yet, in the way of schedules. But, check back as it gets updated fairly often.
