Chicago and Milwaukee Regions will be requiring the use of
Transponders for the 2001 racing season.
See http://www.scca-chicago.com/roadracing/transponder.html for more

the transponders are the same that most pro series run, however, I cam asure you, that you will have to use there transponders. they rent to you for the season or per event.

Chicago and Milwaukee Region would rather try and save you some money over the long run by having you purchase your own. they should work at most/all club racing events in central division.

What will the prices be for both rental and purchase transponders?

What is the time frame for getting the required number sold?

Rental will be abetween $50-75 per event with some type of damage deposit. hard wired transponders will sell fo around $300. The two regions has to sell 600 units in exchange for hardware and software.

How long do you have to sell them?

It would seem that the first to implement them will be the ones who sell the most units. If they are not available from my region (OVR) and I come to your race I will be buying from you.

While we would be more than happy to sell to you, we strongly urge you to buy them from your region. If they are not going to get into the system we would be happy to sell to anyone. Talk with your region because sales are what saves you and your region money.
