I am here to show interest in the forum. However, I do think a forum that has an integrated email option is key to solving the issue. The Yahoo Groups option seems as though it would fulfil most of the users needs.

The yahoo group thing is not a forum. while there is an archive of posts there are no subject categories, so to find a specifc post you have to scroll through pages of messages.

Some of the bulletin boards let you get e-mails about specific threads you're interested in. I like those the best... particularly the ones that let you not look at posts from people you're better off not responding too. ;)

Ya know, this forum is for NorPac. Covers a broader geographical region than just NW ya know. Also includes road racers and other SCCA activities than just autocross.

Do we have secrets? The Las Vegas folks use the Southern Pacific forum for all their local communication. I don't see a problem.

    I'm here.

Personally, I'd prefer to use this forum than the list.

I'm OK either way. Yahoo includes ad's, which I don't like. I'm more likely to see a message in my email though.

I've been here all along.... ;)

Personally, I like the list format for announcements about event info, results, workers-needed messages, and stuff like that. I like this format for running discussions on car classing, pre-running the course, rules changes, etc.

I would way, way rather use a forum than the current email list. I want to keep abreast of the conversations, but the last thing I need is another twenty mails a day to weed through.

Obviously not, the list is public and anyone is free to join. It's more just a matter of having to wade through discussion that is not relevant to the northwest region or to autocrossing. But I guess if no one else is using it, we could claim it first, might not be a problem! :)
