    No NWR messages in 8 days.

    Perhaps some more NWR members have realized "If you build it they will come" only works in the movies.

    It takes a lot of *continued* work to promote a new way to communicate.

    I think most of us realized that, although forums are a superior medium for this sort of communication, resistance to change would mean that people would continue to use the mailing list. Such is life.

    I think people like having communications "pushed" rather than having to go "look" somewhere for it. I use the forums 3-4 times a week but get 3 or 4 email lists daily.

    Yes.

    And on a related note, many of the NW people who don't like push mechanisms don't know about the existence of this pull alternative because it was only advertised on a push medium.
