I just picked up a ' 85 GT from Florida and it ran in IGT ? I'll be running in the western NY area and not sure where this car fits in the classes around here. Looked in the rule book and can't find IGT in the book. From what I can see it does not quite fit the rules for Improved touring or American Sedan, it has things done to it that eliminate it from IT but has t-tops ( bolted in and bars over them) and American sedan states no T-tops. Unless I'm reading the rules wrong ....Any advice on how to sort this out. I have all winter to prep and want to have it right when I get to the track...........

ITGT was a SEDIV class organized prior to American Sedan. To the best of my knowledge, it's now defunct. Cut off the roof you have and replace it with a standard panel. Any good body shop should be able to do it pretty easily.
