I'm having a little trouble interpreting the update/backdate rules on this subject. Any insight or opinions would be appreciated.

Currently, I am running a '95 Neon ACR sedan in ITA. this car was only available new as a SOHC since it was a sedan, but IIRC, there were a few '95 Neons sedans produced with DOHC engines (I have a VIN to support this). In the later years ('96-'99), there were plenty of DOHC sedans.

I am interested in utilizing the DOHC engine in my car per update/backdate. Assuming that I changed everything over and adjusted the minimum weight to 2650, would this be a legal change?

    thanks,

The SOHC and DOHC are on 2 different spec lines. This means that the DOHC Vin should be on the DOHC car. IF you just drop the DOHC in the SOHC car it would be illegal.
