V8 StockCar Competitors to test Roebling Road
The V8 StockCar series heads to Roebling Road Raceway April 28 and 29 for the next round. Running with the Bucanneer Region of SCCA at the Jim Stark Memorial SARRC races, a huge field seems assured, with about thirty V8 GT-1's, V8 SPO's and V8 GTA's already entered. Track records could fall with the additional grip provided by last years repaving.
Many of the series regulars will be in action including 2006 V8 GT-1 Champ Jeff Emery, 2006 V8 SPO Champ Bill Smith, 2007 race winners Charles Wicht, Greg Cecil, Jay Marshall, Bruce Perra, Lee Arnold and Bosco Logsdon, as well as top competitors like Tony Amico, Randy Gay, V8 GT-1 point leader Al Wicht, Ray Webb, Mike Hope and Marshall Janney. Roebling Road is a good test as it requires a good handling race car and a driver that can get into a good rythymn on the twisty back side of the course as well as a lot of horses to get down the long front straight.
