OK, when I list this as a thread URL

    http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510

the site changes it to this when you click it:

    http://hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510 (drops the "www")

which causes the link to fail and you get an error page

    WTH???

(testing now, will edit if it wasn't so)

    http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.as...;/url]

    Hmmm...

    http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510" mce_href="http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.hidden-hitch.com/prod.asp?pc=5510">Link

Wow. Wicked odd. Even when you mouse over, it shows the correct URL...

    I'll now defer to Chris...

Trying to get the mangled link that I saw before to work, and for some reason (probably because I'm on a Mac), I can't get the link to "work."

I am having trouble posting pretty links... just testing here.

    test

OK, got it to work. Here is what I had to do to get it to work...

    1. Type something (in this case 'test')

    2. Highlight the text

    3. Click 'Insert/Edit Link' button

    4. Type in full URL including http://

    5. If you add title it will be in the hover box.

I am not sure why you have to highlight the text first, but that is the only way I could get it to work. Otherwise the 'Insert/Edit Link' doesn't seem to do anything.

The editor here expects you to tell it what text you want to add a link to.

Some other sites when you click on a link allow you to add the link and the text for the link at the same time. I would assume that is the confusion.
