    Hey All,

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    After painful deliberation I have decided that finances force me to sell my AS car.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    Instead of massive list of all the good parts, I wanted to talk about how the car was built. The new owner will be getting a compilation of some great engineering and workmanship of some top notch folks.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    I know that if someone called up 3R Racing and Fab here in Denver (Tommy Archer Vipers, World challenge pro prep shop, Porsche cup cars) to duplicate this car (and skip all R&D) that it would be a $60,000 bill. I use 3R as the example, because we’ve employed some of the same people and one of their aces was heavily involved in the construction of this.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    The car started as a new 2002 body in white from Ford, which was not cooked. This means the undercoating and seam sealer was not stuck on the vehicle. We picked the lightest combo of body panels, hood, and trunk and brought it home.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    Since I was driving a competitive Fox chassis, we were not in a hurry and took a very deliberate approach with the goal of building the best legal AS car possible. We (myself, a great independent machinist, a super talented fabricator/welder, and 2 race engineers, all heavily involved in SCCA) took the current 04-05 rulebook, and rule-by-rule maximized the car for rigidity, weight savings, low CG, reliability, and speed. The examples of this are endless, right down to the angles picked for a given cage mounting plate. Cage analysis software and Mitchell’s suspension software was well in the mix also (Mitchell even wrote strut software for us).

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    This chassis has a smartly built minimum weight/maximum stiffness AS cage, integral sub frame connectors laid in the frame (Ala north American touring car) that is a very stiff and square package.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    This has gone thru several rounds of R&D for front suspension, and much more for the rear suspension. 3 front strut packages, and days of shock package building. We have moved front and rear roll centers around (legally!) for maximum benefit, and tuning. The 4th and final rear suspension package is based on an angle adjustable “floating” torque arm and a Mumford link that keeps the rear roll center centered and nearly fixed regardless of body roll, squat, etc, and adjustable in height from BELOW ground to axle centerline. The front suspension has a very small scrub radius, and multipiece front offset bushings.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    This car handles amazingly and is very tunable to track surface, conditions, and driving style. The ultimate result of this can be seen in the excellent even tire wear from all 4 corners. REAR weight balance (all important in the sedan world) can be up to 52% for a 180# driver, finishing a race at minimum weight.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    This vehicle holds numerous track records throughout RMDIV, and also some more notable ones like Miller Motorsports, Phoenix International, Mid-Ohio Runoffs Qualifying record, MAM.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    It has led several runoffs at Mid Ohio and Topeka (briefly, see Asedan Banner!) and taken a 2nd at the June Sprints. It was on the pole with a pole qualifying record at Mid Ohio.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    Also, we freshen this car for the runoffs, not in the off-season. Everything was gone thru for Topeka, including fresh shock oil.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    This car is at the beginning of a maintenance cycle, not the end of one.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    More info and pictures available. It is only fair that many specifics will only be available to the buyer. As part of the final arrangments, a test drive at a local track is welcome. Also, delivery is possible.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    Also I should mention this car has never been wrecked. Yes, we’ve done some rubbin’ needing fender work or a bumper cover, but for reference, this has never been hit or had an off that even changed the alignment.

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

    Asking $33000

    <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]-->

    Please Email me at Kyle sensibleautomotive com if interested.

    Thanks,

    Kyle
