Who's up for some Figure 8 action at Speedrome this Saturday night?

Do some pre-race tailgating, we'll provide the hot dogs, everything else is BYO. Now Speedrome doesn't allow coolers so you can't bring stuff into the track, but that's why we tailgate a little.

Tickets are $10.00 at the gate.

The show Saturday night consists of:
    Hornets
    Roadrunners
    Stocks
    Late Model Figure 8

If you haven't seen the Late Model Figure 8's run, you're in for a treat! These things are WILD, and the folks who drive them are very talented. They can run the cross at near 90 mph right at each other and miss by inches lap after lap. It's a thrill just to watch!

Let me know if you're interested, need a head count for the dogs....

    Cheers,
    Dave

So, is this like one of those crazy smash up races?

    What time does it start?

I hate to admit to it, but everytime I read that title, racing is NOT what pops up in my mind. . . . I know I know. . I need help.

There's no intentional crashing, but when you aim 600 hp 2200 lb tube chassis race cars at each other going 90mph, it does happen. The near misses that occur just about EVERY lap are more thrilling though.

    Here's a link to Speedrome's website : www.speedrome.com

The racing starts at 7:00 PM.

If your interested in the mangling of sheet metal, the Roadrunner and Hornet classes are sure to please. Roadrunners are full size American cars,(mostly old Chevy Caprices) with only minor modifications allowed. The Hornets are 4 cylinder cars that run under the same basic rule set as the Roadrunners. The very low cost nature of these classes, combined with the very small confines of Speedrome and the unique individuals who are attracted to these two classes makes for some real smash-mouth racing.
