With the season coming to an end, the Team Pan Am Club Racers had a great year in 2008.

In the Rocky Mountain Division racer Jose Gerardo won the National Points Championship in Class FC. At Jose's last outing before the SCCA National Runoff's, Jose recorded 2 - 1st Place victories on August 31st and September 1st, 2008. The "Last Chance" race was the final National race of the year for Jose. This was Joses' first Rocky Mountain Division National Championship. Congradulations Jose for representing the Pan Am Region with a Division National Championship.
In the Rocky Mountain Division racer Richard Dziak won his 1st Regional Championship in Class FB Formula F1000. Richard was the points leader and took the overall win. This was his 2nd Regional Championship in 2008. He also won the Arizona Saguaro Regional Points Championship for 2007-2008 racing season. Richard is the 1st Pan Am Club racer to record 2 Regional Championships in one year. Congradulations Richard for representing the Pan Am Region with 2 Regional Championships in one year.
Stan Czacki will attend the 2008 SCCA National Runoffs in Class SSB driving his Camaro.
John Basler completed his SCCA driver school and won his 1st SCCA Regioanl event in La Junta , Colorado.
Jeff Kelly in Class SM, Mark Kowalski, along with T.J Schoeppner were active racers in the Class SM also.
Hector Maldonado completed his race car conversion from Class FC to Class FB and recently completed 2 National races at Heartland Park Raceway. Topeka, KS. Hector also raced over in the Arizona Region during the winter months.
In other Pan Am racing news, Luis Moreno will represent the Pan Am Region in the SCCA National Solo Championships to be held at Heartland Park Raceway in Topeka, Kansas. Luis will drive his Honda, hopefully to a podium finish. Over 20 entries are registered in his own class while over 1095 total entries have registered for the event. The Richard Dziak Pan Am Club Racing Endowment has awarded Luis Moreno with a check for $250.00 towards expenses for the National Solo Event in Topeka, Kansas. Luis has been a highly dedicated Solo racer within the Pan Am. Luis is the Solo Racing Chairman for the Pan Am Region and the present Regional Executive. We are honored to help Luis meet his dreams of a possible SCCA National Solo Championship. Best to Luis.
