    I've had this car since October of 1998. I've slowly built it from a bone stock 2.0 into the wild ride you see before you now. The car's won a bracket racing class at the 2002 DSM Shootout, Placed 9th overall and 1st place Team Domestic at the Winged Warrior II challenge ([url]www.wingedwarrior.net)[/url], and has since competed at multiple autox events doing the best it can to fend off those pesky awd's. Bottom line is that I'm just itching for a new project and can't afford to keep this around. The car is full of custom and one off modifications and now is your chance to take my place and take this car to the next level. You cannot buy a better modified fwd car for this price.

    The car can be seen in last year's 2007 DSMTuners calendar as well as the 2008 DSMTuners calendar.

    The Bad:
    Currently the clearcoat is peeling on the rear hatch and wing. Obvious small scratches and scuffs from hitting cones at 60mph. Left front bumper was torn after catching one really bad, still visible but has been fiberglassed from behind so is structurally sound and not noticeable from 20feet or more. Hood has small hole from beta testing suspension components. Trans grinds going into 5th, needs new synchros. Extremely easy to install, I even have brand new locking nuts for the trans. Was going to do it next time the trans came off but never got to it. Engine is down on power, after it's last event in May I brought it home and the cold compression numbers were #1-125 #2 -110 #3 -75 #4 -120. This was a 3 year old motor that I did a very very basic rebuild so I'm not surprised to see this after the abuse it's seen. Block is still clean and with some new rings it would probably be fine. That last outing yielded a 14.5 @ 96mph on pump gas and 20psi (car has gone 13.1 @ 112.4 on pump gas before the cams, pump, chip, wheels, tires, suspension, and further weight reduction). O2 sensor and bung are stripped out.

    As it sits it still runs, just down on power. I decided to stop racing it this year to keep the motor from any further damage but just last month it fired right up, backed down the drive, and had no issues whatsoever. I daily drove this car from May til November in 2007. Still has front speakers along with cd player. Cruise and Heat are still functional. Nearly every part of this car has come off, been cleaned, replaced, or improved over the course of the last 10 years. Selling the car as it sits for $6000. If you think that's too much, fine, don't post. I'll just hang onto it and fix it and re-list it for more later. Most of you though should see this as a great opportunity to steal this car.
