During our February 2nd membership meeting we agreed to a plan to create two additional classes for drifting-prepared vehicles for Solo competition. We have a significant group of new people who have come to us with an expressed interest to start drifting events. The first event is happening on February 15th. This group is also interested in Solo competition, but due to the unique drifting setup of their vehicles the traditional PAX assignments don't put them where they think they should be. Overall, this group is most interested in competing against each other in drifting prepared vehicles on a Solo course. We agreed to create these two classes without defined PAX index numbers, today. We will establish these numbers after several events have been run.

I want to thank Rafael Segovia, our new Drifting Chairperson, and Kevin Parra for their efforts to bring this group to our region. I also want to thank our membership for basically asking this new group how we can meet their expectations. This looks like a win-win for everyone.
