STR is looking to hit 30 at Dixie.

Is that a record? I can't remember a bigger Tour class...

While impressive, I'm going to guess it isn't the record...but, I'm waaaaaaay too lazy to try and look it up.

Did any body notice that Mr. DiSimo is registered in a 1999 Miata in STR?

At least I will find out if the 1999 has a chance against the S2000 and NC Miata.

    I wish I could go.

I think last year is just the beginning for STR. People are coming out in droves in any number of cars wanting to jump into the STR party and that's without taking into account the cars not currently in class that are campaigning to be included. Locally, we've had as many as 8 people at a single event with a total of 70 drivers.

Hopefully, he wont be sandbagging since there is no reason to. I think he will do just fine.

    Some MRS's there too.

When exactly does the class get national status?

DiSimo did pretty good on day 1 with his lowly little 99. Unfortunately for he and Marcus, day 2 had a faster track, and they just couldn't handle the power disadvantage.

ASP was fun. Does anyone have the official story on what happened to Carpenter? I got bits and pieces about him going to Atlanta, and couldn't make it back on time, but that's all I know.

Mike, IMHO: They are WAY overdue. It's a shame that classes like A-stock are granted instant status. Yet STR has to go through the processes and protocols. Isn't it obvious SEB!
