    1996 Mazda Miata MX-5 - $1500 (Des Plaines)

    I have a 1996 Mazda miata mx-5 for sale, needs clutch

    The Good
    -119,xxx miles
    -5 speed
    -ac/heat
    -motor runs great
    -Body is pretty solid besides rust on both quarter panels

    The Bad
    -Needs Clutch
    -Needs new top (were getting a new one next week)
    -Rust is pretty bad on both quarter panels
    -Dent on driver side quarter
    -Needs driver tail light

    I agree with Bob. WAY overpriced.

    With the amount of money you would have to put into it, you could get a practically mint, low mileage one.

    Yeah, I guess you could get your money back if you part it out, but you wouldn't be making much,

    it might be a decent donor car if the price went down.

    Actually, if your income creates some tax obligations, buy it (even cheaper) and donate it for the write off. (Hey ... I didn't write the tax code, I just use it.)
