Hey there are five STX entrants. They get removed from the ST and get their own class right?

I think so. I know last year this only happened once for STR :(

If that's the case then the results for 4/22 should be amended. STR and STX should have been separate. They both had five entrants.

Didn't see what you're talking about in this year's rules.
    http://nyr-scca.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=7&Itemid=55

The bump out class rule was an experiment last season primarily for trophies. It failed. When it looked certain succeed for a couple of classes, those drivers stopped coming out. It's manual effort, and after last year's evidence, that time is better spent on any thing else. Class participation is always looked at to create competition where there is none. That's why SP/SM was split. Both groups became large enough to be their own comeptition. P/M was essentially a 2 horse class in '11, so it was combined with the Street Mod classes. There are a few scenarios to split classes further, but there will be no further changes to class structure for this season unless something comes up as un or anticompetitive.

I was reading this from the event dashboard on MotorsportReg:
"In order to create competition for season championships, drivers will compete in our 6 major Solo classifications. Multiple low entrant classes will compete against each other via the PAX/RTP index. If a subclass reaches 5 entrants on Wednesday night(23:59 EST) before an Event, that class will bump out into it's own class with its own trophies. If that class can bump out for 4 events, it will elegible for season points."

    I might be misinterpreting it.

Also saw this from the town hall meeting but I don't understand the lingo and don't know what it means. lol

"5) Street Prepared and Street Modified will be split due to increased participation. PASSED

    6) Street Modified, Prepared, and Modified will be a single indexed class. PASSED"

Nope, you're right, that language is still in the MSR intro from last year's template and has not been updated. I'll fix that tonight. The SR supplementals are what were hammered out in March and we will use for the season. A head start for next season can be addressed at the next Solo Board meeting. I believe it may be Philipino BBQ time in the early summer.

It's going to be a good one. Almost half of those entries are STX as well.

Joe, wasn't your Miata a ST car?
