Registration is open for our next autoX, www.msreg.us/nyr2012-3. Online registration will close early on Friday. We plan to use the 6 heat/3 run group again.

Several core workers will be away that weekend and unable to attend. If you have wanted to help out more, now is the perfect time to wake up early and help us get underway on time.

Email or PM me if you are interested.

So, 72 hours till results go Final. Tell me what changes are needed.

    So far:
911 CP Tom Smith moves to Builder Index.

    Also,

Again many thanks to everyone who helped out in the morning getting everything up and running: Bryan, Adam, Michelle, John, Kemal, Christian, Dwight, Josh, James, and anyone one else I missed.

Congrats to all of us for getting Paddock moved out of 2 different lots during the day. For the next event I'll make sure to find out if the motorcycle company and the motorcyclist killing company will be there. Hopefully we'll be left alone, but we can plan ahead.

What was everyone's take on having Grid next to the toll booths? Running fewer runs in the AM and then more in the PM?

Before you start addressing individual discrepancies, you should sort the registration window by class (double click on the class header at the top of the spreadsheet) and also do a "Re-accept Staged Timing Data." Something is seriously funky with the above results, haphazardly giving out trophies to mid-pack or DFL drivers. AXware sometimes does weird things like this when the registration spreadsheet is not sorted by class, or when it needs to re-accept staged timing data due to getting confused during the event.

Sorry that I missed the event, but I had a family graduation commitment. It looks like a pretty solid turnout, especially considering that the event was running against the NEDiv National Tour in Devens.....

I didn't hate the grid but I didn't love it either. Also not sure I enjoyed 3 runs then 5 format. 4 and 4 is much better if you ask me.

Also sorry for not helping in the morning getting my car ready took a lot longer then I thought. But I learned a few things and plan to leave a bunch of stuff at home next time.

All in all fun course great weather and a great event. Keep up the good work John

    i agree with the 4x4 runs v. a 3x5 format.

it was great to see some people sweeping this time. last month the pebbles were out of control.

i wonder what the cost would be to hire a street sweeper to come and give the lot a once-over, does long island even have street sweepers?

I didn't mind the 3x5 run format. 3 runs in the morning is a great sample of what I hear goes on at larger event. That extra pressure to be fast from the start.

I actually liked the 3x5 format too, morning runs just to learn, gives me time to think about how to improve after lunch.

The question is of time. With the high novice counts and a dirty surface for the AM heats, is the rest of the day better off with more runs in the PM? The AM runs and workers have time to clean the driving line giving the PM heats better quality runs. The Novices finally have a feel for the course, so their times may have dropped 10-15 seconds from their AM runs. Its a big difference having 3 cars on course instead of 2. If the surface was consistent from 10AM to 4PM, it would be a non-issue.

It's a not a 3 & 5 run set format, I am thinking just of a staggered set, ie 3/5, 4/6, 4/7, 5/7. Number of total runs will always depend on time and entrants.

We need some leaf blowers to clean up during the am runs.

I see your point John and it makes sense so I have no problem giving it a try

I think that one of the problems we have is that we keep moving the loose gravel from one side to another from event to event. Do you guys think that we can bring out a garbage can on wheels and remove some of this stuff. I know that it won't make a difference initially but eventually there should be less of the marbles out there. I can have one of my vendors "donate" a wheeled garbage can if you want to give it a shot.

I liked the 3/5 format. I Brought my leaf blower but no one used it. It sat next to the brooms all day long. I'll bring again next time. Lol at the jet dryer!

Grid at the tool booths seemed more orderly.

    What's funky about the results?

i'd be happy to go and sweep/shovel some of that stuff up. in some areas i noticed piles of the stuff an inch or more high.

Santi - If a wheeled garbage can with some company's logo all over it showed up, I think it could be put to use. Maybe heavy use. We do have a large shovel in the trailer, so those would work together. Brooms did need to stay out at the worker station after the morning walk. They had to be brought out there during 1st heat. I didn't like losing a heat for extra surface cleaning. I didn't know about a leaf blower til 2PM.

Lost & Found: a water sprayer. PM or email me what size and kind and you won't feel so bad about leaving it when you get it back. until I bring it up at the next Driver's Meeting.

I gather the surface still remains dirty.... I was thinking about the event on 7/7 but may wait a little longer. Anyone from NYR going to the Evo Super Shootout in Dover?

I was looking in to it but I won't have the funds. If only it was the end of next month :(

Next year I am going to focus on big events!!!
