It's time again for our hottest event of the year. The event will be held at Columbus Air Force Base on the SAC Ramp on July 14/15. IT WILL BE HOT!!!!! So please bring everything you need to stay hydrated and cool.

In order to attend the events at CAFB we need a completed Military Base Access Form emailed to the club email : MSSCCA@gmail.com. We are creating a completely new Base Access List for this event through the end of the year. For all members with existing information on the List, please send a confirmation email saying that you will be attending and we can transfer your information. I have a good idea of the usual people. The cutoff date for all entry forms will be Sunday July 8 at 9pm. We will also be sending emails, to members who have not been attending, to let them know that their information will be removed from the list. REMEMBER we need those forms if you plan on attending! All Military and Government Contractors with issued CAC cards do not have to send information.

This event will be the first event with the new Base Commander, so everyone please be on your best behavior. See read the information regarding being on CAFB here http://www.msscca.org/Columbus.html . We have a fantastic site and wanna keep it. If you have any questions feel free to email.

A big thanks goes to Senior Airman Ross Crimaldi for making all of our CAFB events happen.

I plan to bring the car down and run/sort some more on it.

How harsh is the site on tires?

The site is very good! it has 2 different surfaces which will throw you for a loop at times. The grip is smooth and decent on tires. Grenada tends to be more harsh on tires.

How many runs? Fun runs? National style course? Size of the lot?

We usually do 6-8 "official" runs with a vote, on fun runs, at the end of the event. The lot is huge we have no space issue. It's an aircraft parking ramp. The courses are usually fast with a slow start and finish.

results, points, updated. Notice we went down from 24 to 23 events. The Saturday of our Columbus AFB September event will be a special non autox event for the base security forces. More info to follow.

So when calculating how many events count towards the points championship, do we round up or down (since 75% of 23 events is 17.25 events)? Also, are the points rules posted somewhere on the site? I can't seem to find them.

Nevermind, it says 17 events right on the points sheet. One day I'll learn how to read.

The last three years ( since I've been handling them) I have rounded up if. 5 or over, below is rounded down. For example last year 75% of 18 was 13.5 so it went up to 14.
