How many of you have been to the race track in Hastings NE.? What did you think of it compared to other tracks in this division, positive and negative?

    Mark,

I'm surprised you've never been there. I've only been there once, and the rest of my track experience is at MAM, so for what its worth, I thought it was fun, and the main straight is broken up with a rather sharp right hander that takes guts to take fast. The rest of the course is very technical, and I think lower HP cars do better here, vs at MAM with all the straight track.

Thanks Dave I have been there a lot I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. I am one of the instructors for MPH and MAM and was just asking. Thanks for your thoughts they are right in line with mine. I also think the facility is very nice overall.

I would rate the track as really fun, some fast bits but pretty technical. I have instructed for the BMW club at Hastings before. I would rate George as one of the best hosts anywhere, and don't forget the rides in the Bacardi Bus.

Only complaints I have heard, were from the CO motorcycle guys who were saying the track was becoming bumpy. I believe the milled sections were attempts to mitigate the bumps, and while they can be tricky, grip-wise in the wet, the bumps were certainly never an issue in a saloon car.

Watching the first cars go on track, while warm and toasty in the clubhouse, with F1 racing on TV is hard to beat. The garage condo's are a really good idea. I'd recommend a trip to MPH to anyone.
