The leftmost position column seems whacked. Can you run "re-accept all staged timing data" and post them again to see if anything changed?

Also, on the way home tonight (Sunday evening), there was a quarter mile long traffic jam of utility crew bucket trucks from the west at the cash toll lane on the Newburgh-Beacon (I-84) bridge, all apparently heading to coastal Connecticut. Hopefully the power will be back quickly for those who lose it over the next few days.....

The left column is fine for those with time. The jump in standing occurs only w/ DNS entries. I assume it jumps because of other entries in class that are not registered for the event. Perhaps an update of the software would solve that instead of my manually editing those lines in the results. I would bring that up at a club directors meeting, but that is putting the kart before the horse...

Hope everyone gets thru this next week w/ a minimum of distress.

Yesterday was *not* run like one of our regular events. Instead of running 4 or 6 shorter heats, we collapsed everything into two big heats. Each worker changeover between heats takes a minimum of 15-20 minutes no matter how we try to expedite it. Jon made the call early to run the event as two heats to save that hour of downtime, so that we could get plenty of runs in and be packed up early before Sandy could dump any rain on us or close the roads to get home. Our typical heats are about 0:45 to 1:00 long. The call was to run 1:30 in the morning, and look at what runs everyone was on at the 1:15 mark to determine how many runs everyone would be getting. Everyone got ten runs, and we were packing up before 2:00 PM. Not that I'd want to push for longer heats in the future, but getting everyone ten runs and being ready to pack up at the time when we would normally be starting heat 3/4 (or 4/6) is a notable accomplishment for both drivers and courseworkers.

On the storm front, I received a NWS alert this morning for the storm surge to be 8.4 feet at Poughkeepsie on the Hudson River today. Keep in mind that Po-town is 70+ miles north of the coast! Stay safe everyone.....

I have a complaint. We have to stop giving so many runs! When I started autocrossing, four runs was a good day. If we had stopped after three runs on Sunday, I would have won RTS. I vote for less runs in 2013..... :-)

$55 for 4 runs? Yikes.

John, too bad we drove in the same heats both days.

Jon, thank you for making both events run smoothly and efficiently. It was a blast. Good call on copying the Nationals courses.

Lastly I want to say that I think we have an amazing core group and group of regulars who make these events so much fun and exciting. It's good to know that we have such reliable, honest, friendly, and competitive group who when shit hits the fan, will be there for you in every way.

I cant wait until next year. Hopefully I will be driving my own car then.

Insurance and sites were cheaper back then. Members paid $20, and you got a custom dash plaque at every event when you registered. Events would be 5 runs, and everyone had to work one run so the result was four runs per driver. If more than 80 drivers showed up, it was 4 runs and everyone got to drive three. In the late 1990's, the mentality changed to offering more runs to justify the increase in entry fees due to increased event costs. Of course, tire costs went up when the number of runs per event and season doubled.

Our current autocross product is based on squeezing the maximum number of runs into a day, at the expense of the social aspect that was the big draw for a lot of people back in the day. Now, you're either working the course or waiting in line to run. There's no time to mingle, chat, tweak your car, have lunch, or even visit the porta-potty some days. It isn't even worth setting up the Camp HUOA tent in the paddock when nobody can use it all day.

Anyone want to go back to four runs, a lunch break, and dash plaques?????

np. i enjoyed the courses a lot, but working it. YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY!!!

When I say crazy, I meant the starter. On Saturday during the afternoon heats, I was at station 4. Since we did not have enough workers, we had to cover the slaloms on both sides and the finish. I think we were a little too far from the first slalom and when we picked up cones, the starter wouldn't leave us enough time to run back and cross the 2nd slaloms. Luckily nothing bad happened. This is just my knee jerk reaction to this club. Im used to the other clubs leaving a bigger lag time in between cars.

great double header weekend event. Sentra's tires has poo poo tire grip for the final event that's why it was pointless to shoot for 10 runs. ghost tires!

On the Buick Century, the 71 second run was with Vasken at the Prezel. The other must have been a shortcut.
