    Hi Everyone,

I have a build that I started last year with the intention of road racing at some point. I know that I will not having any issues running in NASA ST1 class, but was wondering if there would be any opportunity for me to qualify the car for any of the GT classes. I'm really interested in doing SCCA, but I'm guessing at this point it might not be possible unless I make any major changes. The car is currently making 560whp.

    These are the current modifications:

AMS EVO X 750XP Turbo kit
    AMS 2.4L Sleeved Block
AMS Spec Rods and pistons and billet Crank
AMS EVO X CNC Cylinder head
AMS Spec TMP Cams by Kelford
Exedy EVO X Triple Metallic HD Clutch Kit
AMS Evo X Clutch Master Cylinder Conversion Kit
AMS EVO X Adjustable FPR Kit
Boomba Aeromotive 340 lph Evo X Fuel Pump Drop in Kit
AMS EVO X Upper Intercooler pipe / hot pipe powder coated black
    AMS 2008+ Evo X FMIC Kit w/Logo
Injector Dynamics 1000cc High Impedance Injector Set
GrimmSpeed Mitsubishi Boost Control Solenoid EVO X
Cusco 15mm Hose Universal Catch Can
    HKS Hi-Power Exhaust System

An aftermarket turbo is generally a no-no in the SCCA, except when a specific alternate turbo is allowed (see the Evo specification line in the rule book). This is for the normal "National" classes, most regions have some form of run what you brung class that you can probably run in for fun. Like SPO (super production over), ITO (improved turing over), ITE, or ITX (E/X being extreme).

I think NARRA runs some power to weight GT classes that are closer in spirit to the NASA ST classes.

Of course, this is IF you comply with the safety rules.  And as this is road racing with your power you will need to do something to keep the brakes alive and likely some chassis mods.
