I have a 97 Subaru Impreza that I race in E-Mod. I broke my stock 5 speed transmission and have purchased a STI 6 speed for its replacement. The 6 speed has a DCCD center diff, it has a 35:65 torque split with adjustable lockup. There are 3 ways that I could set up this diff-
1) Default setting is open, no lockup with the 35:65 torque split
2) Manual controller- controls the lockup with a manual knob, the knob would not be accessible during a run, lockup percentage would remain constant at all times.
3) Auto controller- Varies the lockup percentage through out a run.
Rules of concern below
"12.12 TRACTION/STABILITY CONTROL
A system that adjusts engine power, braking force, or torque distribution
when wheelspin, understeer, or oversteer is detected or predicted. Conventional
limited slip differentials (e.g., viscous, passive clutch, helical/
worm gear, locker) are explicitly excluded, but “active” differentials and
their controllers are included."
So the DCCD does not adjust engine power, braking force, or torque distribution (other than acting like a limited slip) but it does have a controller in full auto mode.
Anyways if anyone understands the rules better than me I would appreciate some help with what options are legal in E-Mod
