Looking to remove part #5 in the drawing

    http://www.hondapartscheap.com/part...er/console

I want put an aluminum sheet metal plate for switches and such. The original part is made of plastic and should weigh less than 1lb, I'll weigh one later on. Etiher way the sheet metal may way as much or close to the original part once it is populated.

    thanks

I'm sure nobody would object, especially if you replaced it with a piece of similar heft.

Thanks. I am trying to avoid having to carry the part around so it can be weighed to prove the new plate weighs the same or more as what was removed.

I can use the radio block off pate in the meantime, just wanted to have more area to mount without rear obstructions for the wiring.
