Members of the Cincinnati Region Solo community,

We have heard that there are some questions and  concerns about the 2014 Solo season.  We want to clear up any misunderstanding and make sure everyone knows what is actually happening.

First, we’re happy to report that it’s all good news! It looks like our 2014 schedule will be coming together sooner than in past years and we expect to be hosting great events.

We'd like to make sure that everyone understands that we are in the planning stages and any dates are tentative, and can change.

We expect to host national events on the Wilmington pad.  The current plan is that we will be hosting three national events. We’re working on next year’s schedule much earlier than usual so we should be able to flex dates around if needed due to a conflict with other Club activities or events impacting the Airpark (ECTA events, various festivals in Wilmington, and so on).

We are actively working on dates and sites for the 2014 Solo schedule.  Our 2014 Club Race date will be decided at the November 9 GLD Scheduling Meeting.  At that point we will be able to look at our combined schedules and make sure that we are doing all we can to accommodate the needs of our entire Region.

Wilmington is certainly an important site for the Solo community, but it is not the only site.  We will continue to host events at Turfway. Turfway management has been very good to us and while it may not be the most optimal site it is very convenient to some of our more southern members.

If anyone has questions or concerns, feel free to shoot us an email.

Thank you for your continued support to help grow our Region and its programs.

    Nathan Roberts & Shari McCoy

Thank you to everyone involved in making our programs strong. 2014 is shaping up to be a great year for our Region.

The board of directors is fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who make it possible for all our members to pursue their sport. Particular thanks go out to our program chairs and their respective committees who work many hours throughout the year to keep our programs running. Without these dedicated people we would have no programs.

Please be sure to thank the people who make it possible for us to enjoy our sport.
