I want to clarify before I start buying parts.  I want to incorporate an adjustable spring perch on the rear lower control arm of a mazda 6.  In 15.8.A, it sounds like I can't modify the control arm's spring perch by cutting and welding in a new one (they're a really weird shape).  15.8.H.1 and 15.8.H.4 lead me to believe I can replace the entire arm with an aftermarket unit, which can incorporate any type of spring perch as long as it is in the original location.  Am I reading this correctly?

The available perches are a HUGE pain to adjust, which is why I'm looking into other options.
