Sorry for the post but I am having difficulty figuring out what class I would fit in for SCCA Solo 2. I have been out of the car scene a while and am within a couple of months of resuming autocross. I have much experience with local clubs and PCA, but this will be my first foray into SCCA events.
I plan on hitting up my first event in the Florida region SCCA sometime in the next 2-3 months. (Look for me and say hello: Blue/Grey Silverado, 22' Black V-nose trailer, Green Eagle Talon) would like to use the next 6-8 events to dial in the car and make a competitive go for the 2015 season.
Well enough about me and plans. The car that I am attempting to properly class is as follows:
1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD 5 Speed
6 Point welded in roll cage
Gutted interior with Race Seat
Gutted Doors, Glass Removed
DSM Link V3 Engine Management
Stock 4g63 engine with mild porting
Holset HX35w Turbocharger at 32 PSI
3" Custom Downpipe and Exhaust
9 Gallon Aluminum Fuel Cell
Uprated Fuel system (Larger Pump, Lines, Fuel Regulator)
Battery Relocated to Rear
Custom Coil overs with stock mounting locations
Hankook RS-3 225/17 Tires
13" Mustang Cobra Brakes and Rotors
Urethane Bushing Replaced here and there
Other items I am probably forgetting...
I expect that I will be classed very high, I am OK with that. This has been a car that I have worked on for the past 5 years, but has been more or less sitting the past 2. It is at a shop now being prepared. I suspect that the first, and hopefully only, thing I will have to change is the wheels/tires to be competitive. The club I was running with limited AWD cars to a 225 tire, this is probably the cars biggest shortcoming. I would like to stay in Street Tire, but I am open to any feedback.
Thank you in advance for your support in input.
