The East Coast action shifts north by about 180 miles one week after the Washington, DC Pro Solo to MetLife Stadium, home of the New Jersey Championship Tour. One of the most vast asphalts lot used for Solo, this event is sure to have great competition and a big course that Championship Tour’s pride themselves with. On to the class highlights and previews...

Shelly Monfort, coming off her Ladies Challenge at the DC Pro, will be looking to continue her East Coast streak in the Ford Focus ST in the new “G Street” class. H Street will have local hot shoe Anthony Crea against Bruce Bellom, Alex Kang, Ted Descovich and Scott Hoffman after their ProSolo forays in Washington. B Street has a strong 10 car class with a nice mix of S2000s, a BMW 1M, an EVO X and a BMW Z4 M Coupe. Tune in to this class to see if any of the non-traditional cars has a chance at knocking off the class standard Honda.

In STX, Jeff Hurst will try to make it a two weekend sweep in his ANZE suspension RX-8 while the likes of Don Slevin, Eric Simmons and Danny Kao will be trying to redeem themselves in their twins. Grant Winston will bring his 328is and hope to make an improved showing from last week as the only Bimmer in the class. Rounding out the unique class entries will be Nick Dunlap (and his wife in STXL) in his Mini Cooper S and Lex Kirichek in his Volkswagon Golf GTI. In the well subscribed STR class, Nick Barbato will try to keep on his winning ways and Brian Karwan will try unseat him this week. Keep an eye on Shane Chinonn-Rhoden in his MX-5 as he led the class in DC early in the event and ended up on the podium after all runs were done.

SSR has Brian Conners and Pat Salerno running their new Porsche GT3 to try and put themselves on the “top of the page” over DC Pro winner Jason Burns and runner up Grant Reeve. Also worth noting is the strong contingent of A Street R cars – a combination of Corvettes and BMW 1Ms.

The Corrales multi driver G-Fab Nissan 240SX Panda (v3) will be piloted by Todd Kean and David White in SM and Jenna and PJ in SSM. Talk about getting the most out of your car! Two words to think about: ESP 300ZX. Be sure to check out Justin Tsang going up against class stalwarts like Sam Vassallo, Keath Marx and Jadrice Toussaint in E Street Prepared. Lastly, the always exciting DSP class will be a fight between BMWs and RX-8s (STX 2.0). Longtime STXer, Michael Kuhn and Marc Monnar will be taking the fight to long-time classers like John Vitamvas and Chris Dressler. There will be one interloper... Max Sciarra's Fiat 500 Abarth... wait, huh? Tune in form more...

There’s still time to register at one of the great autocross sites in the Northeast!
