I have a 1.6 spec miata, that I play with in auto cross.

I have heard I should run it in DSP, But I wanted to double check first

    Thanks,

DSP is the right place for a Spec Miata.

Solo Rules Section 15 (SP rules) show:
Cars eligible for the current Club Racing Spec Miata rules are permitted
to compete in Street Prepared class D (DSP), with the additional allowance
that they may use any size of any tire which meets the requirements of 15.3
and fits on the Spec Miata compliant wheels and within the compliant
bodywork. Spec Miata cars in DSP may not intermix use of the Spec Miata
and Street Prepared allowances. The competitor is responsible for being in
possession of the Spec Miata rules and for proving that his/her car conforms to the rules.

BTW, a simple search of the rule book for "spec miata" takes one right to the pertinent listings.
